THE PROJECT
Our downtown brooklyn penthouse has been years in the making, and I am so excited to finally be sharing it with you. We were engaged to transform this four-bedroom residence into a home that could keep up with our clients' love of entertaining and frequent travel — which meant every square foot needed to work hard as well as look good. From custom millwork to furniture selection to managing the finer details of construction, our team was involved in nearly every decision along the way. As with all of our interior design projects, we really created a special relationship with our clients and the space.
THE DESIGN
Walking through this home, you'll find a sophistication and a playfulness, sculptural lighting, varied textures, and a material palette that moves between moody and soft depending on the room. The primary bedroom is wrapped in Roman clay with a curved upholstered headboard — the kind of room you want to sink into after a long day. The media room, by contrast, goes fully moody and color drenched: textured patterned walls, a velvet sofa, and a custom arched built-in nook (record player included) that feels like its own little world. Even the guest room got the full treatment, with a hand-painted desert mural anchoring the space and an antique dresser mixed in for a bit of old-meets-new.

In this project, small moments mattered just as much as the big ones here—a single stem in a glass vase, a stack of well-loved books, a disco ball tucked onto a velvet sofa. These are the details that make a house feel lived-in rather than staged, and a part of the process that we really love.
To shop the whole project at once, I've pulled together a Shop My Page with all the sources for this home — lighting, furniture, and the smaller styling details that tie it all together.
